How we work

What to expect from us

  • Unhurried visits

A first visit takes 45 to 60 minutes. Follow-up visits are shorter, and your doctor will not rush you.

  • Your choice at each step

You can say no to any part of care, or stop, at any time.

  • Who we see

Active adults, desk workers and parents. If you are pregnant or bringing a child, call us first.

  • Exercises to take home

A few simple movements, shown in the office and checked again at your next visit.

  • Fees explained first

Your doctor tells you what each part of a visit costs before it happens.

  • Questions welcome

Ask about risks, cost and options whenever you like. Your doctor goes over known risks before an adjustment.

Questions before your first visit

More answers are on the FAQ page.

What happens at a first visit?

Plan on 45 to 60 minutes. You talk with your chiropractor about your history and what you want from care, have an exam, and hear what the doctor found and what your options are. Treatment starts that day only if you agree.

Is chiropractic care safe? What are the risks?

Every kind of care has risks, and your chiropractor explains them before you decide. Soreness or stiffness for a day or two after an adjustment is common. Serious problems are rare but can happen, including a tear in an artery in the neck, which can lead to a stroke, and a worsening of a disc problem. Tell your doctor about your health history and about anything that changes after a visit. For a sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, or new weakness or numbness, call 911.

How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan with you after the exam and reviews it at follow-up visits. We do not promise a number of visits or a result, and you can change or stop your plan whenever you choose.

Do you take my insurance?

We bill many PPO plans and some employer plans. What a plan pays for chiropractic care differs from plan to plan, so our front desk checks your benefits before your first visit and calls you with what they find. How fees work has the details.
